So… How Much Does A Funeral Cost?

This will depend on choices you make regarding items such as flowers, newspaper notices, cemetery or cremation fees, and catering.

We can help you talk with agencies such as Work and Income who may provide a funeral grant, based on your level of assets and income.

If death was by accident, ACC may be able to help out.

Other entitlements are possible too, including grants for ex-service personnel and their families.

You should talk with us so our service will suit your needs and financial situation. Simplicity Funerals will charge for its services, but tell us if you have any concerns about money.

We can provide a free no-obligation quote, and come to you so that it is hassle free.

We do our best to cater for all walks of life and offer four funerals plans to suit your needs. If there is a plan that we need to tweak so that the funeral is specific to your needs we are more than happy to do that.

Simple Funeral Plan

Our professional service fee includes 24 hour telephone response, personal attendance and arranging of the funeral, viewing during office hours, obtaining details for registration of the death. Arranging time, place and destination of funeral venue and crematorium. Collecting necessary certificates from the Medical Practitioner and paying related fees on your behalf.

Value Plus Plan

a committal or memorial service held in the simplicity chapel for up to 30 people, including viewing your loved one and cremation

Advising on matters pertaining to the cremation, obtaining details for registration of the death. Arranging time, place and destination of cremation. Collecting necessary certificates from the Medical Practitioner and paying related fees on your behalf.

Custom Plan

THIS IS A PLAN WE CUSTOM DESIGN TO YOUR NEEDS; PLEASE CALL US TO DISCUSS YOUR INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS.

Price on Application

  • Office hours are: 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Services provided outside of normal business hours and on public holidays will incur extra charges.

Our professional service fee includes 24 hour response, personal attendance and arranging of the service in accordance with instructions received at your home or our office. Advising on matters pertaining to the cremation, obtaining details for registration of the death. Arranging time, place and destination of cremation. Collecting necessary certificates from the Medical Practitioner and paying related fees on your behalf.

Payment

A deposit may be applicable.

The final account will be dated the day of the cremation/ burial and will be posted approximately seven (7) days after the cremation/ burial. If the account is not paid within 14 days from the invoice date an additional Administration Fee of $368.00 (gst inclusive) is payable unless otherwise arranged.

Penalties for late payment may be charged. Simplicity Funerals is able to accommodate most budgets. We are happy to talk with you regarding grants through WINZ and ACC and any other options which may be applicable.
